This page explains how Crown & Comb (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, and how to request deletion of your account and associated data.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from inside the app:
- Open the App
- Go to Profile
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm deletion
Note: For security, if you recently changed your password or have not signed in for a long time, your device may ask you to sign in again before deletion completes.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we delete the following data associated with your account:
- Account profile (name, email, phone, city, bio, avatar/profile photo reference)
- Bookings you created (and bookings linked to your provider profile, if you are a provider)
- Waitlist entries created by your account
- Reviews you submitted
If you are a Provider, deletion also removes provider business data such as:
- Provider profile and public listing data
- Services and portfolio posts
- Availability and time blocks
- Connected calendar sync blocks (if enabled)
Retention
We aim to delete your data promptly after confirmation in the app. In rare cases, backups and logs may retain limited information for a short period for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Request deletion without the app
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:

1) Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
- Account information (e.g., name, email) to create and manage your account.
- Booking information (e.g., appointment time, selected provider/service) to provide booking functionality.
- Location information (optional, with your permission) to show nearby providers and enable distance-based sorting. We request location access only when the feature requires it.
- User-generated content such as reviews you submit (rating and optional text).
2) How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide core app functionality (account access, discovery, bookings, reviews).
- Display providers and related information in real time.
- Improve reliability, security, and performance.
3) Data storage and processing
The App uses Firebase services (such as Authentication, Firestore, and Storage) to store and process data. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
4) Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Note: Some information is shared with service providers necessary to operate the App (e.g., Firebase infrastructure), strictly for app functionality.
5) Location permissions
If you enable location permissions, the App may access your location to show nearby providers and improve discovery features. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.
6) Data retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
7) Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access and update your profile information within the App.
- Disable location permissions in device settings.
- Delete your account and associated data inside the App (see “Account deletion”).
- Request deletion by email if you cannot access the App (see “Request deletion without the app”).
8) Children’s privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
